Adam(pbuh), story of creation

 وَإِذْ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِن بَنِي آدَمَ مِن ظُهُورِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَأَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلَى أَنفُسِهِمْ أَلَسْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ قَالُواْ بَلَى شَهِدْنَا أَن تَقُولُواْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّا كُنَّا عَنْ هَذَا غَافِلِينَ 7:172

اور جب تمہارے پروردگار نے بني آدم سے يعني ان کي پيٹھوں سے ان کي اولاد نکالي تو ان سے خود ان کے مقابلے ميں اقرار کرا ليا (يعني ان سے پوچھا کہ) کيا ميں تمہارا پروردگار نہيں ہوں. وہ کہنے لگے کيوں نہيں ہم گواہ ہيں (کہ تو ہمارا پروردگار ہے). يہ اقرار اس ليے کرايا تھا کہ قيامت کے دن (کہيں يوں نہ) کہنے لگو کہ ہم کو تو اس کي خبر ہي نہ تھي 7:172

 7:172 AND WHENEVER thy Sustainer brings forth their offspring from the loins of the children of Adam, He [thus] calls upon them to bear witness about themselves: "Am I not your Sustainer?" - to which they answer: "Yea, indeed, we do bear witness thereto!" [Of this We remind you,] lest you say on the Day of Resurrection, "Verily, we were unaware of this";7:172
