Unbelievers, Deying Messengers

 الَّذِينَ قَالُواْ إِنَّ اللّهَ عَهِدَ إِلَيْنَا أَلاَّ نُؤْمِنَ لِرَسُولٍ حَتَّىَ يَأْتِيَنَا بِقُرْبَانٍ تَأْكُلُهُ النَّارُ قُلْ قَدْ جَاءكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّن قَبْلِي بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَبِالَّذِي قُلْتُمْ فَلِمَ قَتَلْتُمُوهُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ 3:183

جو لوگ کہتے ہي کہ خدا نے ہميں حکم بھيجا ہے کہ جب تک کوئي پيغمبر ہمارے پاس ايسي نياز لے کر نہ آئے جس کو آگ آکر کھا جائے تب تک ہم اس پر ايمان نہ لائيں گے (اے پيغمبر ان سے) کہہ دو کہ مجھ سے پہلے کئي پيغمبر تمہارے پاس کھلي ہوئي نشانياں لے کر آئے اور وہ (معجزہ) بھي لائے جو تم کہتے ہو تو اگر سچے ہو تو تم نے ان کو قتل کيوں کيا؟ 3:183

 3:183 As for those who maintain, "Behold, God has bidden us not to believe in any apostle unless he comes unto us with burnt offerings" - say [unto them, O Prophet]: "Even before me there came unto you apostles with all evidence of the truth, and with that whereof you speak: why, then, did you slay them, if what you say is true?" 3:183

 3:183 They (also) said: "(Allah) took our promise not to believe in an apostle unless He showed us a sacrifice consumed by Fire (From heaven)." Say: "There came to you apostles before me, with clear Signs and even with what ye ask for: why then did ye slay them, if ye speak the truth?"3:183
