 أَيَوَدُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَن تَكُونَ لَهُ جَنَّةٌ مِّن نَّخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَابٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ لَهُ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ وَأَصَابَهُ الْكِبَرُ وَلَهُ ذُرِّيَّةٌ ضُعَفَاء فَأَصَابَهَا إِعْصَارٌ فِيهِ نَارٌ فَاحْتَرَقَتْ كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّهُ لَكُمُ الآيَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَفَكَّرُونَ 2:266

بھلا تم ميں کوئي يہ چاہتا ہے کہ اس کا کھجوروں اور انگوروں کا باغ ہو جس ميں نہريں بہہ رہي ہوں اور اس ميں اس کے لئے ہر قسم کے ميوے موجود ہوں اور اسے بڑھاپا آپکڑے اور اس کے ننھے ننھے بچے بھي ہوں. تو (ناگہاں) اس باغ پر آگ کا بھرا ہوگا بگولا چلے اور وہ جل کر (راکھ کا ڈھير ہو) جائے. اس طرح خدا تم سے اپني آيتيں کھول کھول کر بيان فرماتا ہے تاکہ تم سوچو (اور سمجھو)2:266

 2:266 Would any of you like to have a garden of date-palms and vines, through which running waters flow, and have all manner of fruit therein - and then be overtaken by old age, with only weak children to [look after] him-and then [see] it smitten by a fiery whirlwind and utterly scorched? In this way God makes clear His messages unto you, so that you might take thought.2:266

 2:266 Does any of you wish that he should have a garden with date-palms and vines and streams flowing underneath, and all kinds of fruit, while he is stricken with old age, and his children are not strong (enough to look after themselves)- that it should be caught in a whirlwind, with fire therein, and be burnt up? Thus doth Allah make clear to you (His) Signs; that ye may consider.2:266
